Update frequency of the Hitechnic compass sensor

Post by aswin0 »

Hi,

Does Anyone know how often the registers of the hitechnic compass sensor are updated. I need to know this to tweak my Kalman filter.

Aswin,

According to HT, it runs at about 80Hz (12.5mS per cycle).

Thank you, Xander, for answering this.

This is about as fast as you can read the I2C sensor on the NXT so you should get an updated value every time you read the sensor.
