Pardon me if this is answered elsewhere. I can see many posts about Bluetooth, in this and other web sites, but remarkably few, that are very helpful about configuring Bluetooth and Windows 7. (I'm not sure if this belongs here or in the Software forum!)
I have a NXT2.0 which I am trying to configure with Bluetooth on Windows7-64bit. Everything works fine with the USB connection, and I have successfuly created, run, etc, a variety of programs.
I am using a Bluetooth dongle which uses the Windows drivers. In Win7 the driver is Microsoft version 6.1.7601.17607. Bluetooth operation with other devices is ok and normal.
When I plug the dongle on a WinXP system, everything works exactly as per documentation.
On Win7 I can add the NXT device using Bluetooth, and I can see it creating the incoming and outgoing COM ports. It successfully authenticates using a passkey on both computer and NXT. However, when I click Connect in the Mindstorms program, it asks for the passkeys on both ends, then after about 20-30 seconds I get a popup error box saying "Cannot connect to NXT device" and an error code of -142024. Clearly the two ends are communicating, but not "connecting".
Does that sound familiar to anyone? Is there an interpretation of error codes anywhere?
Bottom line .... Any help would be much appreciated.
