Ticking problem

Post by nxtluv3r »

Hi again. This time, when I tried downloading NXT v1.29, the NXT entered a state of "ticking" and never stopped. I understand that this is the NXT's downloading state, but how do you get it out? For some reason, it won't connect to my computer anymore.

Part of the problem is that it won't connect by the USB.

Yes, it depends on what you mean by "doesn't connect via USB". If you mean "bricxcc doesn't connect to the brick" then as Ford mentions you can still download the firmware in spite of that message. If you mean "Windows doesn't recognize the NXT as a valid USB device in SAMBA mode" then you have a much more serious problem.

That's what hammers are for. ;) Or maybe drivers? :?
[I just realized, there are FOUR Banhammers ( :o ), now! But Brian Davis is still THE BANHAMMER!)

USEFUL PART OF POST: Try downloading and installing the drivers from Lego's website. Use both the "Fantom Driver" and "Driver 1.02".
