Ticking problem
Ticking problem
Hi again. This time, when I tried downloading NXT v1.29, the NXT entered a state of "ticking" and never stopped. I understand that this is the NXT's downloading state, but how do you get it out? For some reason, it won't connect to my computer anymore.

(at John et al.: could you please pin that installation guide?
It's supposed to be more useful than you might think!)

Re: Ticking problem
Part of the problem is that it won't connect by the USB.
Re: Ticking problem
don't mind, as John wrote.
fw download (by Bricxcc) will find your brick even though.

Re: Ticking problem
Yes, it depends on what you mean by "doesn't connect via USB". If you mean "bricxcc doesn't connect to the brick" then as Ford mentions you can still download the firmware in spite of that message. If you mean "Windows doesn't recognize the NXT as a valid USB device in SAMBA mode" then you have a much more serious problem.

USEFUL PART OF POST: Try downloading and installing the drivers from Lego's website. Use both the "Fantom Driver" and "Driver 1.02".
