Need help with my latest MOC
Re: Need help with my latest MOC
I would also prefer beer but the problem with any carbonated drink is that the release of gas would be continuously pushing it out unless the switch was on the output side. Which, I think we all agree, is a no-no. Might also push fluid up and into the switch (or even the pump) with deleterious effects.
Not meant as a criticism - beer is always a good idea imffho!

You guys can see my setup here.
NOTHING is IN the glass. But, the tubing is pumping the milk. I clean everything out when I'm done, so i don't think there's any problem. And, I've also drank from milk coming from the dispenser and didn't get poisoned

In an earlier post, doc222 was concerned about lubricant from the switch contaminating the product -
I suggested sticking car fuel filters in the airlines to pick up any particles.Just a thought here but you do know that these pneumatic switches come with a lubricant inside that well, I would think is not for human consunption. Silicon ized chocolate milk yum yum. even the tubbing if not designed for human consupton can be hazardous. other isuues will be left over milk in the parts after the first day will rot, using this more than once...... you have the posioninator

Well....I'm not really concerned. lol. Doc, if I ever build you one, I'll have a filter on it. Just. For. You.

LOL In my life that is last thing I would worry about, a wee bit of silicon at this point might just get the old body moving a bit faster. As for a filter I wonder if it would remove silicon oil? I jest anyway.
One issue about the lego switches at least with air: when they pass center they release the air from the pressure side, is this leaking milk?

Yes...but if I use two separate outputs for each bottle, it shouldn't......should it?doc222 wrote: One issue about the lego switches at least with air: when they pass center they release the air from the pressure side, is this leaking milk?

Probably, unless you loop the output tubes up as I show in the diagram. Once the vacuum is released then there is nothing to stop the fluid from running out.
