Per Moore's law, and the history that electronics are almost always dropping in price, I would like to see an NXT 2.5 set, with an
upgraded NXT brick. And since $300 seems to be a reasonable price point for the NXT set, the NXT 2.5 would be $300. I am
still quite content with the mechanical parts assortment in the NXT set, or actually in 2 sets, plus extras from Bricklink. But I
can't get a faster clock chip or NXT memory chips on Bricklink. For speed, I would like a processor that runs 4x as fast, so I can
run 4 threads at twice the speed that I currently run 2 threads. A 2 core processor would be nice. And I would like 2x the
memory or more. Sound files take a fair amount of memory. I use a robotic animal to give assignments in a school where
I tutor. The kids each have a colored name tag that they swipe, and the robot says her / his name, and assigns a project.
It really connects with the kids when the robot says their name. But there are 24 kids in a class, and with the program file
and assignment sound file, I can only fit 12 - 14 names into memory. Connecting two robots with Bluetooth works, but
double the memory would be a simpler solution. Rereading this post, it reads more like a letter to TLG than a Mindboards
discussion, but it may make a good discussion, and maybe someone from TLG occasionally reads Mindboards.

Mindstorms NXT 2.5 - Wishing and hoping
Re: Mindstorms NXT 2.5 - Wishing and hoping
IIRC there already had been 1 post or 2 about that topic...^^
Re: Mindstorms NXT 2.5 - Wishing and hoping
An NXT Gaming version would be cool - Extra buttons, less outouts/inputs, larger screen...
Re: Mindstorms NXT 2.5 - Wishing and hoping
ceterum censeo...
I'd wish Lego finally lets use the NXT i2c ports to daisy-chain (or split) for up to 127 NXT (Lego, HT, MS) i2c sensors at each port, and for this of course all i2c sensor devices must have adjustable i2c addresses with disabling pullups.

@Ford, +1 for any new sensors.
