I've just added some notes on the results from my testing of the device. It is certainly interesting. Here's the device I've been using to test with...

I'd be really interested to find out if anyone has any more information on the various scale factors used (there seem to be various opinions from what I've read), and on what the sample rate is for the device. It looks to me like it is 5ms but I've not been able to find anything to back this up...
