The Hitechnic IRLink Programming blocks

Post by jojoguy14 »

Hello everyone!
Has anyone, besides me, noticed that on the Hitechnic IRLink NXT-G blocks that they used letters (A, B) for the motors instead of colors (Blue, Red)? If anyone from Hitechnic reads this forums, PLEASE! Change the blocks so that it's Blue Motor and Red motor! It's VERY hard to program with the letters!

Thanks!

Joey,

The official Lego PF specs also refer to these as Motor A and B. You'll just have to deal :)

You can check the attached datasheet if you'd like.

But...can't Hitechnic just edit some text in the VI??? How hard could THAT be?

Probably a lot harder than using A and B instead of red and blue.
A sophistical rhetorician, inebriated with the exuberance of his own verbosity, and gifted with an egotistical imagination that can at all times command an interminable and inconsistent series of arguments to malign an opponent and to glorify himself.

I did...a LONG time ago. But, I think I was saying something like I could change it for them...maybe they didn't get the picture?

In case anyone is wondering, Hitechnic Emailed me back, and they said they wish they could, but if they did, we'd be stuck with a bunch of broken programs because of the different block. He's right, sadly :-(.
