To admins, about dedicated server

As said on the NXT step during the dark week, and to John by email, I can still provide hosting on my personal servers. I agree sourceforge is surely good enough, this is only a proposition in case things change.

So if you want something fast, without advertisement, without domain name redirection problems, with customizable theme and plugins, with email notification with post content, with mailling list or newsserver synchronisation, with read/unread memorisation, with daily backups to an external server and the way to leave without losing any forum data... contact me.

Also, if you need something which is not possible with sourceforge, for something else than the forum, I can help too.

Sorry if you didn't get the messages from us (the admins) before, but we don't want to go down the path of having a single person responsible for the forum, again.

I think when Eric started NXTasy, he had a strong interest in supporting the forums. But, after a few years, he lost interest, and eventually, the forums were lost. We don't want that to happen simply because one or two of us lose interest.

The good thing about the sourceforge project is that there are 4 of us in charge of it, so should one of us decide to move to greener (or browner) pastures, the other 3 can continue without a problem. It's better for everyone that way. Use an adblocker if you don't want to see the ads, I do and it works a treat.

That's why I propose a daily backup to another server, so that if I disappear, you can take all the site data and host it elsewhere.

Also, I like server admin, but not forum admin, so I can give admin rights. I even can give ssh/ftp access as you will be in a virtual machine.
