Does anybody know if there is a way to get the NXT drivers on my school-owned netbook?
It always asks me for an administrator password when I try to install it.
Drivers on school netbook?

Re: Drivers on school netbook?
Depends on what you're trying to install (as well as some other things, such as the operating system you're using).
In some cases, it is possible to simply copy the relevant files to the directory containing the executable that you want to run. I've done this many times with software I've written that interfaces with the NXT. As long as fantom.dll is in the directory containing the executable, nothing needs "installing" onto the machine.
If you could provide some more details on what you're trying to do, we may be able to help.

Re: Drivers on school netbook?
I am saying to run the .exe installer, which installs the drivers.
Where do I get "fantom.dll"?
Can you give me step by step instructions?
It is Windows 7.
Thanks,

Re: Drivers on school netbook?
Exactly which drivers are you installing (i.e. where did you get them from) and what do you want to do once they're installed?
Installing drivers is usually a means to an end - for the NXT you install drivers so that you can use it with some other software (such as BricxCC or RobotC), and the solution, if there is one, is likely to depend on what that is.

Re: Drivers on school netbook?
The drivers on ROBOTC.net.
I am trying to get my netbook to connect with my NXT via USB so I can use Bricxcc Command Center.
