Linux-nxt-programming

I have two computers. One only runs Xubuntu linux and I tried to install windows xp but it didn't work. I was woundering if there is some way to program the nxt with a gui. Thanks.
I take the place of Penguinplus from the old forums.

I know, old post, but for others can be usefull. The Juffed editor has implemented NXC/NBC syntax highlighting:

Actually, I use Bricxcc in WINE for Ubuntu. It seems to work fine. I don't really use Bricxcc, so I didn't go into every detail to see if it all worked (Like downloading a program to my NXT). So, I know it opens, and I can type a program in it, and it seems to work.
