Hi all
We are a group of students who are currently working on a project where we are designing an Android app that will drive a Lego NXT robot via bluetooth. We found the MINDdroids app and are using the source code from there to drive the robot.
Our current is that we can connect to the NXT but when we return to our activity with the controls, mybtcommunicator seems to be restored to null, and therefore we are not able to send data to the brick, or control the motors. Has anyone made their own app for the NXT and successfully controlled a robot via bluetooth, who can help us with this problem? Is there possibly another source code that does the same thing?

Re: MindDroid development
A while ago I compiled the "NXT Remote Control" (http://code.google.com/p/nxt-remote-control/). This program allows controlling the NXT motors at a high level (you don't need an extra program in the NXT). You can use it to communicate with NXC, but this will need modifications in the code.
