Example programs for remote* functions

as I read in the history.txt of Version 1.2.1.r5 (2012-10-12) you added some (new?) remote functions.
As you might imagine I'm quite curious about that.
Could you provide me and others with some code examples, e.g. for 4 NXTs connected by rs485 via a 4x port splitter?

(connection initialization, read remote sensors, control remote motors,...)

seems I was wrong and there still are no new functions or functionalities yet.

Anyway - I would have been happy about any answer.
