Cable for downloading

Post by renard80 »

I need a new cable for downloading from my PC to my Mindstorms brain.

I live in the UK.

Please can anyone point me in the right direction to buy one? Thanks.

Most electronics stores should have them. Otherwise you could check eBay or Bricklink. It's just a USB A - B cable (often called a "USB printer cable").

This is what you are looking for -

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Premium-Quality ... 600&sr=8-5

Standard usb at one end and a strange, squarish thing at the other.

As Matt says, usually come with printers or scanners. Should be able to get one in ASDA, etc if you don't have a computer shop or electrical store nearby.

Wow, thanks for your quick reply, Matt!

I didn't realise it was that simple.

Based on your advice, I've just ordered a cable on eBay. Very cheap indeed.

Very many thanks. :D

Many thanks for your reply - received just as I replied to Matt!

The one I have ordered on eBay is just 99p, including delivery. I hope it will be OK!

Thanks again for responding to my request.
