I wonder if physical contests would be feasible. I'm not sure about the demography of this forum, or even the number of active members, but looking at bricklink sellers, Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdoms and United States would be good locations for a contest. I'll host a Dutch contest if there are enough people :)

Yeah, we could make certain robot contests, NXT game contests, even pixel art contests!

If only we could get an admin to make a contests section. Hopefully one of them will see this topic.
Thanks, and have a nice day,

Not really sure if physical contest would be practical here in the states. The closest person I know of for sure is Matt, and he's a full two days worth of driving from me.

I'm close-ish to Matt. Near the upper edge of Illinois. Maybe you should check out BrickWorld? They have MindStorms contests there. See my report on this years content here: https://sourceforge.net/apps/phpbb/mind ... f=1&t=1537

I live in the Netherlands and there is one fellow MCP about 20 mins drive away and another about 1.5 hours :) We hang out on a regular basis. It's a lot of fun to play with LEGO together and spar over new designs and ideas.

Ah the joys of living in a small country!

While we're not in a small country, I have a handful of MCPs within driving distance. However, I don't think that's because MCPs happen to live close to me. I think it's because people who live close to me, become MCPs.

The idea of creating challenges is a good one. I wouldn't worry about faking videos. If people want to spend their time creating videos, instead of creating robots, good for them.

Do you guys really think we need a "Contest" section? Or, can we just use other areas of the forum?
