NeXT Commander

Post by savedcoder »

Hello NXT fans,

I have written a program that you might be interested in. It is called NeXT Commander, and it is A program to control every aspect of the Mindstorms NXT.

Its features include:
  • File management
  • Sensor monitoring
  • Firmware downloading
  • Remote-control
  • USB and Bluetooth support
  • More speed than NXT-G
  • NXT renaming
  • More coming...
Check it out at: http://nextcommander.sourceforge.net, http://www.softpedia.com/get/Others/Mis ... nder.shtml

NeXT Commander is in alpha phase, so please, report all bugs! Feature requests, criticisms, etc. are also welcome.

Hope you find it useful,
SavedCoder

I found a bug!
When I connect via BT and click monitor Sensor button, it goes back to the "Choose NXT to Command" screen
I click on my nxt and it goes back to the other screen
I'm running XP SP3.

Hi Tim,

What Bluetooth software you are running? (Widcomm, Microsoft, other?) Are you using NXT 1 or 2? Does it return to the selection screen immediately after you click Monitor Sensor, or after you select a sensor and click Start Monitoring? If it's after you select a sensor and click Start Monitoring, what sensor did you select?

I'm running Widcomm bluetooth software on my HP laptop with NXT 2.0.
I got the drivers from NXT-G 1.1 Educational
It's just after i click Start Monitoring that it returns to the selection screen. I didn't see any sensor selection box.
Good luck.

Looks nice.

Note that, to comply with SF licensing terms, you must provide the source code too.

I did. It's in the src folder in whatever folder you install it to.

Of course, it's "awesomer" to use SVN for this kind of stuff. :)
