Using garage opener as touch sensors

Post by h-g-t »

I wanted to be able to interact with my unit without touching it or lugging a BT enabled device around.

I originally intended to connect a two-channel camera radio remote to simulate touch sensors by shorting out the black and white wires on two sensor sockets but came across these on ebay - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-4-Channel ... 2c60893286

Different frequencies are available for different countries.

The camera remote used a transistor-type switch so had to be connected in the correct order.

These units operate relays so the wiring is simplified, as well as offering up to four 'touch sensors'.

Just thought I would mention this in case anyone else was interested.

Very interesting. I once worked on a simple project using something like that, but I never though about making it interface with the NXT.
