Howdy folks

Post by xeda »

Hi folks, I go by Xeda or Zeda, I am a programmer for the TI-83+/84+/89/92. Specifically I do Z80 assembly, TI-BASIC, and I know some C for the 89/92.
Anyways, I am here not for my calculators, but rather for the benefit of a friend. He has a Mindstorm kit thing and he knows that I enjoy programming and building things, so he wanted to know if I could help out with programming it. So I will have to figure out what I will need to install and how to go about programming.

Also, nxtboy iii referred me here after I saw his game . Thanks!

Well, if you want to code in NXC (I recommend it), then go here and download the latest test release of Bricxcc.
http://bricxcc.sourceforge.net/test_releases/

Once you have run the program in the .zip then plug in the robot to the computer using the cable and go to Tools- Download Firmware in the menu.
**NOTE: Installing a new firmware wipes all the data on the NXT and installs the firmware. I would ask your friend first if it is ok. The firmware is in the .zip file. It is a .rfw file.
Thanks, and have a nice day,
nxtboy III
