NXC: NXTcam

Hello Forum,

I'm currently working on my latest project which uses the NXTcam. I would like to get the outline of an object. So for instance I have a bottle: Now the main body is square and on the top I got a little hill going up with the bottle's cap connected. So I would like to retrieve the numerical data of the needed points to compare it with the NXT's databases (with the numerical points of the same bottle), to see if the object is a bottle. Any help is appreciated - What API functions I should inquire, guiding me in the right direction etc. Has anybody tried this before?

Regards Luke

If you want to make pattern recognition I doubt that the nxtCam will do the job.
Already for color blob recognition there is - well... much room for improvement.
For pattern recogniton (shape detection) independently from the size, the distance, and the position of the target object the POB-EYE CAM would probably be more suitably...
