aren't there sometimes sensors you just wish hitechnic or other mindstorm sensor companies would make? well here you can post them. what they do and stuff. there are 4 sensors i'll give as examples

1) radar sensor. thisn would automatically send out pings and show dots on the lcd where the objects were found. this could lead to more advanced obstacle avoidance and object detecting.

2) GPS sensor. with this you could find exactly where you are in the world. along with where you are around your house. then you could automatically go back to your starting position.

3) breadcrum sensor. you know that story where two people got lost in the woods and put breadcrums behind them to find there way back. well thats what this would do. it would unleash glowing tape behind it that can not be seen by anything other than the sensor and cannot be touched. then it can follow its line to get back to the starting point.

4) Heat sensor. this is different from the tempature sensor because it would detect body heat like an ultrasonic sensor. then it could follow you around as a butler. the only issue is it might get you mixed up with your fireplace.

GPS sensor : bluetooth GPS modules for PDA are already supported, find my article here: http://freelug.org/article.php3?id_arti ... NXC%20code

breadcrum sensor: ?????????? perhaps http://www.convict.lu/htm/rob/ir_us.htm

Heat sensor: with PIR sensor, you can find my article here http://freelug.org/article.php3?id_article=1051, http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/200012/pyro.htm or with UV sensor http://www.superdroidrobots.com/product_info/uvtron.htm
Hope this help

Hey,

For the GPS, Dexter Industries already did this with their dGPS (I beta tested it and it's pretty sweet!): http://dexterindustries.com/dGPS.html
