I am curious to know more about the mingling technical data of the new mindstorms ev3 - to know more about the OS, sensor ports and technology used curious to design sensors for
and more over is what can we get out of the NXT Bricks we have i strongly beleive we can device a way for the bricks to communicate with one another!!
Hope this post sparks some creative following and reading and sharing till the set hit the shelves I pre ordered the education sets and addons from my local supplier
Information about the protocol used between the sensors, motors and EV3 brick are not publicly known at this moment. It is not inconceivable that you could control an NXT brick from an EV3 brick over USB or BT, but that may not be something EV3 supports out of the box.

HiTechnic has already announced that all their products are compatible. If they really do all work, as well as the Lego NXT Ultrasonic sensor, then most of the mindsensors and Dexter Industries stuff should work. The only thing I'm wondering about ATM, is the RS485 based stuff (NXTBees and DIWIFI). Hopefully the EV3 really does use TTL UART, and simple revisions are all that's necessary.
i don't mean technical (electronical) -
technical it's probably easy either if it's analog (resistor or voltage) or digital (i2c).
What I actually meant is software driver support for future text-based PLs.
I'm thinking of stuff like, e.g.,
the MS cam v2/3 (older series),
MS multiplexers for RCX or NXT motors,
MS KeyPad,
or the HT sensor multiplexer.
