nxt bluetooth under linux

I have a machine running Ubuntu. I'm using nxtOSEK and that works fine.
I can transfer programs to the NXT using nxttransfer (in both bluetooth and USB). My question is, if I have more than on NXT in the room, nxttransfer will pick up the wrong brick to attempt to transfer to. Is there a way to specify which brick to use, or to prevent bluetooth from listing new devices that are not paired? I tried compiling NextTool and it doesn't work well for me on bluetooth.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Lawrence
