BRICX editor ignores non-alpha characters

I seem to come up against weird BRICX issues.

When I try to edit a file I am seeing the editor quite willing to accept alphanumeric characters, but it totally ignores any control characters such as tab, newline, backspace, arrow keys... .
Function keys which trigger BRICX actions (eg compile) are fine.

I have tried reinstalling, resetting to defaults and anything else I can think of, but without success. I have a feeling I have read about this somewhere, but searching this forum did not come up with anything. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to remediate this please?

Thank you.
Geoffrey

It sounds like your editor keystroke mapping has gotten thoroughly messed up somehow. This can be reset back to default values via the Preferences dialog on the Options tab. Click Edit Keystrokes and then click Reset List followed by OK and OK.

Yep, I assume it was something garbled in there somewhere. Resetting to defaults did not help, but deleting the whole directory and reinstalling has fixed it.
