The announcement also gives credit to mattallen37 for his collaboration on the design and programming.

Way to go Matt!

Thanks BManCan!

@ Helmut, the design isn't based on any one design or idea. The actual function is quite a different approach to any projects I had seen, making it unnecessary to do any HW modifications to the Nunchuk. Even if the design wasn't unique, it is now, now that it is actually a finished product.

May I ask whats on the NXTChuck PCB? I guess only the pull-up resistors and a voltage level converter?

So practically I could use your NXTChuck lib with my modded Nunchuk and WM+? :D Your code is much better written than mine ;)

Pullup resistors and voltage and signal level converters, basically.

Yes, you should be able to.

What are you trying to communicate, or are you just trolling?

If you are trying to state the obvious, in that my design isn't groundbreaking technology, it is already, as I said, quite obvious.

I said that the function is different from any approach I had seen (past tense). And as of writing this, I still have yet to see another project that is the same as mine.

Please only write constructive posts on these forums.

Matt,
I think that some people have trouble seeing others get recognition for their efforts. Typically just simple jealousy. Congratulations on your NXTChuck contribution, it is nice to see fellow Mindstorms fans have their work recognized.

Keep up the good work!

I - jealousy?
no, not at all. Own hardware development was never ever my intention. It was actually tom123, sebi, Legorentner, and others who once made and published those former alternative developments publicly - Open Source - several years ago to our community, their performance was also remarkable, they and their work also should not be forgotten.
I was not envolved in that at all in any way.
I respect people who have commercial success, but I admire people who share their knowledge and efforts with a community for free, like the ones mentioned above, and like Linus Torvalds for his LINUX, and Jimmy Wales for his Wikipedia - and last, but not least, John Hansen for his NXC.
Probably this is the point which I actually tried to communicate.
