Just like it says. Where do you build? How are your parts stored? What's your space like? Here's my "workshop"

Sorry if it's not very high quality, I made it spur of the moment with no plans as to what I would say or do.

Mine's my desk, and I have my Mindstorms stuff stored in a drawer underneath. I keep all my parts (the technic ones, that is; the others are sorted by color in storage boxes in my closet) in a big container behind my desk. It's a little hard to describe but basically it's on a desk that's a little bit lower than my primary desk, so I can swivel around my chair and have everything within arm's reach, and then swivel back to continue building. It works quite well for now, but I'm going to need a bigger box soon.

I think I can imagine what you mean. I have way too many parts to keep in one tub. They're all sorted by type in drawers, as you can see in the video.

Not really building so much lately, but nevertheless here are some photos. Sorry for the low quality, it was starting to get dark.

My normal working area to the left and my building area to the right.

Lego:
The left drawers contain mostly halfwidth and fullwidth beams and some misc. parts. The right drawers contains axles, gears, connectors, pins, brushes and special parts. Middle drawers contains normal plates, for studded building. The two light-blue boxes contains studded beams and angled studless beams. (The blue can to the right is a "10 Lego Games collectors box" and a Spyder3 colorimeter underneath.)

Computer:

• Two 24" 1920x1200 IPS monitors
• Logitech Illuminated keyboard
• Logitech G500 mouse
• Logitech Z-10 speakers
• Logitech 720p webcam, made in China (Well, I can't remember the model and that is the only info that is written on it...)
• Razer something headphones

Computer specs:

• Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 @ 3.2Ghz
• 4GB RAM
• GeForce 560 Ti - Factory Overclocked
• 3.25 TB HDD (combined)

It is getting a bit old so I'm planning to upgrade within the next 6 months.
All Logitech products are connected through the USB hub in the left monitor. To the right of the right speaker there is a USB extender, which continues to the USB hub. So if I want to use my laptop instead of my desktop, I simply have to take the USB cable out of the extender and connect it to the laptop instead to get keyboard, mouse and sound working. (And connect it to a monitor of course.)


Some random Lego, I'm actually not sure what it is. Except for the black computer bag which contains all my Lego electronics, i.e. motors, cables, censors, RCX and so on.
The rest of my Lego is underneath my bed, you can see some of it in the previous photo.

Books at the bottom, Lego building instructions and misc. paperworks in the middle and random stuff (including my NXT apparently) and teddy bears at the top.


Games to the left, school books and laptop to the right. Well, the books for the courses during my previous semester, haven't bought the new ones yet. (For the interested, from left to right: "Essential C# 4.0", "Discrete mathematics and its applications" and "Computer Systems - A Programmer's Perspective")
My Off-roader at the top with the NXT taken out of it, still haven't programmed it yet. I need to finish this already, I want to continue with my next project... -__-

The bottom drawer to the right is full of zipper bags with extra parts, the middle drawer is where I keep all of my tires and wheels. I have the small drawers on the left of the table for small elements. The six red organizers on the bottom left is where I keep a small selection of different beams and panels as well power function, pneumatic, and smaller mindstorm elements. Lately I've been building on the floor. The table is a mess because my desktop died a while ago and I have moved on to a laptop, so it has just been collecting junk. I really need to build a new work center for my computer and Lego building...
