Mindsensors LineLeader: Is it worth the money?

That's pretty much it. Is the
LineLeader worth $45 ($51 with the cheapest shipping)?

It all depends. Would you use it? Would the benefit of the hardware and learning experience be worth $51 to you? If you wish to have an NXT robot follow a line, it is an excellent choice in my opinion. I have used my LL-Nx for several robots, and it is really a great sensor. I would say that for me, yes, it is worth $51.

They are also great if you want to make a maze-solving robot. You are not just limited to simple line-following robots.
