Re: Lego CnC idea
I think balsa wood with a very sharp bit as long as you never over feed it and bog the motor will work very nice. wear on the rotating parts though, better use alot of special greese on that or its going to melt. great project idea though. very cool the way that happens to work too as if Lego though...

Re: Cat Road Grader
LPE's use alot of air. Depending on how many cylinders and if they are moded. Most can run well from 0-30(max)psi to well if you dare 90psi(DO NOT TRY THIS at HOME) before things get wierd. But in Multi cylinders to get flow you need to watch how you split the air lines. So any LPE to run in a model...

Cat Road Grader
Since this project is more Technic for now. It could use nxt but in the end it would be just R/c too. Even X2 started out P/F Technic but it has a need for robotic control, just way to hard to drive a Biped. So since Grader may be in the end just a technic model I hope here in the "open" f...

Re: kinohaguruma's Robots in Wood
that is amazind. especially because he used wood. by the way what is your next project? Well nothing too new, X-2 has went through some major and minor upgrades added 1 more Dof so now it can turn in a zero condition. So the hips are what I can discribe as a "claw shell design" they can o...

Re: Synchro Drive
Did you know I designed Monkey bot and rat in that book. I wanted to include alot more details(program) but as things go Editors have this thing about cutting things down. I think it was chapter 16?animals I was asked to make two new or remake older projects(from the old book) that were not to hard ...

Re: Synchro Drive
I would as sugjected do alot of research. If one plans ahead he is less likely to lose ground as he move forward. Ok, so say you have found nothing at least no one seems to have went the path you have made. Now what? It is up to you, make a moke up, then protype and refine. In the end you will have ...

Re: where can i get a lego turntable gear
its very easy to use Bricklink and in some ways is a must for any Lego/ Technic/ Mindstorms user to know and use, even if you are NOT buying a part from almost any kit made. If you make an account you can make lists of parts for projects and then see wht the going prices are all around the world. ed...
