Re: ev3 BCC/C: plugged USB keyboard as a stdin device?

I don't have the standard firmware on any of my bricks, nor the BCC C library, but the program seems to function just fine for me. I modified to allow me to compile it on my Ubuntu VM. I ran it in one window and typed in another: http://i.imgur.com/ejcI2Sg.png EV_KEY is the type of event that a keyb...

Re: ev3 BCC/C: plugged USB keyboard as a stdin device?

This as much effort as I can put into this. It works on my Ubuntu Linux VM and it should work with an EV3 brick. Experiment with the /dev/input/event<number>. You may need to use 0 or 1 or maybe even 2, I don't know. Play with it. Taken and adapted from http://rico-studio.com/linux/read-and-write-to...

Re: EV3 'C' Maths

The #include part is for the (pre) compiler and the -l part is for the linker. The header file simply contains the prototypes for the functions and that sort of thing but the actual stuff you want to link in, is contained within the .so (library) file. You may want to take a look at the compilation ...

Re: EV3 CSLite C libs: matrix algebra, array sort and more

I think you'll find that having something like this: http://www.gnu.org/software/gsl, would be far more useful to you than a bunch of #defines. As for the #defines, are these dynamically allocated arrays? If that's the case, then you will have to use malloc() and possibly free() as well. The first o...

It would be super useful for estimating your position inside a robosoccer field, for example :)

Re: Looking for EV3 Infra Red Sensor and Beacon Specs

That's pretty cool! Can it differentiate well between beacons on different channels?

Re: EV3 InfraRed Sensor and Hi-Technic IR-Ball

Hey Ray,

I tried it with my football but no dice:

I remember asking the hardware devs about this and I don't think it ever occurred to them to make the LEGO IR Sensor work with the standard IR balls. The HiTechnic IR Seekers work ok with the EV3, though.

Re: Motor and Sensor ports dead after recharging

Is there a sort of acrid, sour smell coming from the NXT? If there is, you may have some fried components inside.
