Re: Question about recursion

I split your question from the wish list to keep that on topic. Anyway, recursion is when a function calls itself. A good example of this is the fibonacci function: fibonaci(int n) { if(n==1) return 0; if(n==2) return 1; return fibonaci(n-1)+fibonaci(n-2); } It requires a stack in order to make this...

Re: wishlist for NXC?

One thing I know Xander has wished for is support for overloaded functions so that you could write: .. Hopefully I will have both the time and the mental prowess to implement that feature later this year. Having overloaded functions would allow me to make the NXC Sensor MUX driver transparent in it...

Re: Trig functions in NXT-G

What trig blocs did you use? Claude Baumann's ones seem reasonably fast (though using integer and NXT 1 FW): Sin/Cos and Atan / Atan2 Philo, Ah so it;s not 100ms, but 14ms per operation, that's still quite slow for what I want to do with it. I was hoping to be able to use native calls through NXT-G...

I looked and have not seen such an option in the configuration tabs.

Trig functions in NXT-G

Are there any blocks for the standard trig functions in NXT-G 2.0? There used to be one for NXT-G that used fixed point math but it was sssssllllloooooowwww, up to 0.1 second per function (sin, cos, tan, asin, acos, atan), which is unacceptable for me. Are the normal trig functions even part of the ...

Re: Welcome to Mindboards

The old NXTasy site had a "repository" of code and building instructions that I always found useful. Is there a facility in phpBB to do something similar? It strikes me that a knowledge-base of techniques, snippets of code, building tricks would be good to have. That bit was on the blog of the NXTa...

Re: Random Comments

Any chance of getting a "view unread posts" link at somewhere at the top of the page? It appears to be available only on the main board page. I am not seeing an option for this in the board's settings. There is also no way for us to tweak the HTML/PHP code for these forums as it's a hosted app. - X...

Re: Welcome to Mindboards

Hey TC, [Thanks to the power of Google, I found nxtasy discussion on "The NXT STEP", which led me here...] I realize that a new site may not (and probably should not) replicate NXTasy wholesale, but I do hope that Mindboards would be able to keep the hacker ethos, which distinguished NXTasy it from ...

cghaning,

How would you count the pulses that quickly on the NXT? You won't be able to do without an additional controller that has interrupts.

Hey NXTboy,

Eric isn't responding to emails. Aplus won't tell us what happened because we're not the owner, Eric is. The domain has not expired, so that's not the problem.
