How exactly do you use a gyro, for what purpose is it used? surely you don't inegrate it, as I tried that, and it failed for me (huge amounts of drift)...

Possible control for holonomic drive robot with PSP-NX?
Recently, I have been pondering about holonomic drive robots. While they are very practical, controlling them remotely is not easy, and often ends up acting like any other driving platform. I have come up with an idea... why not use the PSP-NX? What I thought is that one analog stick can use one axi...

Re: My nxt cant turn well help!
Firstly, are you building a car-style robot or a tribot-style robot? If you are building a tri-wheeled robot, there is no need for the caster to be rubber. If it is a four-wheeled robot, your problem could be lack of a differential. (If this is too hard for you, just use two unconnected, unsynched m...

Re: My project idea .......!
Well, to increase safety in the science lab, you could attatch a robot to everyone's lunchbox, an RFID tag to detect when in the science lab, and it could detect when the lid is open and set an alarm off to enforce the 'no eating' rule. JOKES!

Re: Large numbers on the NXT screen
Thanks, but i'm not too sure what to do with this file...
Is it compatible with the advanced text display block? How do I use it?
EDIT: Don't worry, I figured it out. Thanks.

Re: My project idea .......!
Here's an idea... If you want to detect a gas leak , then you could use some sort of pressure sensor in the piping.
Also, if this not just a proof-of-concept, and you plan to actually use it, then you will need a rechargeable battery pack.

Re: Large numbers on the NXT screen
Hmm. Ronmcrae seems to have disappeared...
Does anyone have a good font? It needs to be as big as possible, as long as 4 number digits can fit across the screen.

Re: Large numbers on the NXT screen
Ronmcrae, that 31 pixel font would actually be perfect.
Could you attatch that?
P.S. how do you install the fonts? I tried to just unzip the file to the 'fonts' directory, but that doesn't seem to be working.

Re: Large numbers on the NXT screen
Thanks everyone, but what I'm really looking for is a way to get the advanced text display block.
