Re: Omni-wheel providers
I didn't try them. I like the Rotacasers a lot. It is a pitty they sell them by the pair though, you normally need three.

Re: hitechnic Gyro sensor (NGY1044) noise
You should also note, that some "drift" is actually very correct. The earth rotates 360*/24 hours (once a day). That means that you should see a "drift" of 1 degree every 4 minutes. This is not correct. That is, this is only correct if you live on the north or south pole. On the...

Re: IMU sensor feat. digital motion processing
Clip 1 and 2 show a home brew IMU sensor housed in a sound sensor case, clip 3 shows a Dexter Industries IMU sensor.doc-helmut wrote: In your clips it looks like as if you used a HT Gyro (1) and a Dexter gyro (3), didn't you? (Not sure what you show in the 2nd video.)

Re: IMU sensor feat. digital motion processing
Hey Doc, I know of your complicated relation with Java. I do not have a solution for that (not that you asked for one). The IMU filter you see in the clips is a full blown 9DOF filter. It uses the three sensors you mention and outputs position (as in tilt and heading), rotational speed and linear sp...

Thanks! Very informative.
Have you, or anyone else, experience with the new NiZn batteries?

Re: IMU sensor feat. digital motion processing
THE DSP thing can be done on the NXT. Here are three clips that I shot using a IMU sensor. I do not think a compass was included while I shot the clips, but it currently is. Sorry for the poor quality, you'll have to watch the NXT screen carefully. On it you'll see a compass rose or an image of the ...

Re: Setting custom frequency for nxt motor
Hi, You should not try to control the speed of the motor. Instead you should try to control the position of the motor. This is far more direct and has the possibility to recover from previous errors. I know NXT-G will allow you to control the position of a NXT motor, but I do not know how good this ...

Re: Screen flickered then died.
These problems all have a similar cause. The contacts for the four push buttons are on the same board as the connector to the screen and some capacitors. Pressing a button stresses the board and, in the end, cracks the solder of the capacitors or connector. It would be interesting to know if Lego im...

Re: NXC interface to smartphone cam?
If you don't mind getting your pc involved and pay for some software then this might be an easy solution. You could use Some software to turn your phone into a webcam. See http://arelab.blogspot.com/2012/10/how-to-use-mobile-phone-camera-as-usb-webcam.html Then you could use roborealm with your new ...

Re: Screen flickered then died.
I did it three times already. Two times I succeeded, once I was without luck. But even then things did not get worse.
Do not forget to place the soft rubber button (from the batterybox) back while assembling.
