Re: PosRegEnable -does'nt work
But you mean ALL regulation functions? These functions call the "setoutput" and it has regulation parameter. So, what can i do with setoutput and it's regulation parameter? Well, I'm not really an expert, but yes, I think ALL regulation functions. As far as I understand it, the PID contro...

Re: PosRegEnable -does'nt work
Do you have the enhanced NBC/NXC firmware loaded on your NXT? I believe all the regulation functions need it.

Re: New to programming and Mindstorm
Certainly don't give up! Here's some miscellaneous advice, which may or may not help you: Small things: - Tell us what this code does when you run it. It will help anyone trying to advise you. - Indent your code. It's a lot easier to see what's going on: - Comment your code. Same reason. I've put a ...

Re: convert html internet page into a word file *.doc
that's fine, thank you! How did you make the printer "print" the website? Copy and Paste? Or print menu of the browser and then choose the pdf printer to print/save? The latter. Install Cute PDF Writer Go to webpage Firefox | File | Print Select 'Cute PDF Writer' as the printer. 'OK' You ...

Re: convert html internet page into a word file *.doc
Hmmmm..... so it does. It seems the word doc is just linking to the pictures. I assumed it would include them in the file. Print-to-pdf applications will work for any windows app; they 'pretend' to be a printer driver, so that you can select them just as you would choose a different printer, but the...

Re: convert html internet page into a word file *.doc
Works for me... Firefox: File | Save As [web page, complete] Open .htm file in Word. Pictures are present. Save As [Word 97-2003 document *.doc] I've (hopefully) attached the file, but renamed to .txt as .doc isn't allowed. Hope this doesn't annoy anyone. Apologies if it does..... Ian. Windows 7 Pro...

Re: What extras would you buy?
Yeah, I did look at those cables, but they worked out quite expensive with shipping to the UK. I also considered making my own, but sourcing the bits, modifying the crimp tool and making cables seemed like a lot of time and effort which could be better spent building robots!

Re: What extras would you buy?
Just to bring this to a close, I'd like to thank you all for your suggestions, which, naturally, I completely ignored! I ended up buying assorted technic bits on ebay (gears, thin beams, long axles, bushes - all the stuff I seemed to run out of, plus some random bits that came with them) and a...

Re: What extras would you buy?
Funny you should mention pneumatics - My son was just given a (very old, possibly incomplete) technic set with some pneumatic bits. I've never used them, but I was wondering about incorporating them into mindstorms. I'll have to have a play with them when he's finished... I like your marble lifter -...
