Re: Newbie -- where to start?
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned NXT Programs http://nxtprograms.com/ . It's a website full of building instructions fro NXT 1.0, 2.0, and the education set. It's also has programs with all of the robots. Check it out. Also I would suggest not getting the education set endless you have lots o...

Tips for MLCad with studless building
I often use MLCad for my robots which are all studless and one problem I've run into is how the "grid" doesn't work well for up and down because it's set up for bricks and bricks are a different high then studdless beams.Normally for grid coarse it takes 2 "snaps" to move somethi...

Re: MINDSTORMS COMPETITON!!!
Everyone should submit something - It dint say anywhere that it had to be built now - you can just take an old robot and submit it if you wanted too - if we get lots of people doing it this year - next time we can have prizes and even more competitions.

Re: Line following without skid steering
Both of those robots shown use more than 1 sensor but I get the idea. My main problem as been that the sensor sometimes doesn't see the line and then keeps turning the wrong way, but I've moved onto a different robot know - thanks anyways

Re: Line following without skid steering
Does anyone have any ideas about line following with a car that isn't skid steering? It doesn't have to be scanning like he one shown in the video but it would be great if i could be because it seems like the fastest line followers are like that. Also, jwiger, it seems like it is more complex than t...

Re: simulate a differential with 2 motors
What i was really looking for was a equation to take the posision of the first motor and convert it to two motor speeds

simulate a differential with 2 motors
I want to build a robot that workd similary to this one: http://www.nxtprograms.com/NXT2/race_car/index.html you'll notice that it has 2 motors in the back and a steering motor in the front, when steering the 2 back motors turn at different speeds, simulating a differential, the only problem is that...

Which program is the most acurate
i'm doing a robot competition and need the robot to drive exact distances and turn exactly. one year i used NXT-G and couldn't even get it to drive straight. this year i used robotc and the driving is much better with the PID. but my question is what program would be the best for driving exact dista...
